Markus Bösiger, the Swiss businessman and motor sport enthusiast – known as "the Veteran" – is once again active as a driver on this year’s truck racing circuit. Renault France invited him to Nogaro, France, for qualification drives on short notice. Markus Bösiger said that this "totally unexpected offer" was just too good to turn down, so despite his advanced age and extensive business commitments, he signed the contract as factory driver for the 2010 season. He had previously raced for the technical team Buggyra (2007-2009), where he won the European championship in the very first year. In 2008 he was Vice Champion.
In the past, the Swiss driver also served for many years – both in Super Race Trucks and in Race Trucks – in the dual function of team owner and pilot. He started his career in racing sports as a motorcycle sidecar driver, where he also earned several world championship titles.
"I’m highly motivated to compete for the European championship for Renault France. Together with the team, we intend to offer a serious challenge for the other competitors. Our goal is very clearly to be at the front of the pack in terms of the overall point count."

Like many other racing drivers, Adam Lacko began his career in karting before graduating to the Ford Fiesta Cup and Škoda Octavia Cup. While competing in these two race series (2001 and 2002), he was also test driving the Tatra Jamal racing truck. He subsequently decided to commit his career to truck racing.
